Reviews and Ratings:
The best bar in this bay. Pros: - everyone is very polite - large umbrellas and lightweight sunbeds on the back rows for €10 with no minimum spend - clean restrooms - a calm bay with a depth of 1.40 m - just like a giant swimming pool Cons: - after 11:00 AM, they turn the music up too loud. It helps if you bring noise-canceling headphones.
Nice beach bar, food ok. 10 euro for umbrella and sunbeds only (upper half and simpler beds), +50 euro min consumption for lower half close to the sea with large beds in 2026. Music gets quite loud, avoid area in front of DJ and speakers if you prefer more quiet time. Toilets and showers are spotless, parking is great.
They walked us, the set were perfect for the number of people we even had options for tent 100euros consummation, for set with umbrella 10 euro for set and one order per person, whole day there was dj had really fun with the music, the food was excellent. Not to forget the impressive changing rooms and toilets which are clean, new and comfortably made. Overall we had great experience, the staff took orders fast and were friendly.
You visit Ammolofoi coast mainly for the clear and beautiful sea. The whole area is incredible. Koo became in the recent years a good competitor to the other beach bars and is a bit cheaper the others. Depending on the month you will probably wait a little to get seated if you come after 12pm. They have also a free parking area. My recommendation come between June and July or in September.
Public beach... It's public property. Yet these and everyone around them have covered 90% of the beach with loungers... As well as rubbish and ants thanks to left over food. €10 for the privilege of sitting in one of those loungers. €6 for an espresso. You must buy 1 beverage per adult. They stopped and searched my cooler box (which was full of baby food for a 1 year old. €10 might not seem bad for the "set" as they call it, but basically they are scammers, every last one. A beautiful beach destroyed by commercialisation... You may think I'm being salty. I don't care. Go to most beaches in the world and you aren't FORCED to take a bed and buy drinks. It's disgusting really. If you don't think so, you need to pull your head from it's hiding place
